Worst kept secret in Queens is out

From the Daily News:

Incoming Queens Borough President Melinda Katz has tapped an old rival and a trusted aide to work in her administration, the Daily News has learned.

City Councilman Leroy Comrie, a former candidate for borough president, has been named deputy borough president.

Jay Bond, Katz’s policy advisor during her City Council tenure, will serve as her chief of staff when she takes over Borough Hall on Jan. 1.

Both will lead her transition team and help her outfit her staff.

“This campaign was about empowering working families and making life better for every Queens resident,” said Katz.

No, this campaign was about being the County pick and getting yourself on the public dole for the next 4, if not 8, years.

REALLY, then why pick Leroy Comrie as QB Deputy President, who has done so little for quality of life in Jamaica.

No this is about YOU and your cronies and how you can get what you want and FUCK the people of Queens.

"This campaign was about empowering working families"

Remember that unpleasant truth Mr. Arcabascio revealed during the NY1 debate, that Ms. Katz' top contributors were anything BUT the working families of Queens, nay, the very perpetrators of the destruction of quality of life in New York? People like David Sklar and Angela Argento who are trying to push the Knockdown Center on Maspeth, and Sal Panico - CEO of the "community partner" Cord Meyer which has and will continue to overstrain Forest Hills?

In case you forgot, here's the full list.

Thanks Jon. That list WAS indeed an interesting read.

Among the tidbits:

The Catsimatides Family of Manhattan chipped in big bucks. [You reading this Phil Ragusa?]

An individual by the name of Curtis Sliwa, living in Brooklyn (982 East 89th Street) anted-up ONLY $175!!!!!

An individual by the name of Thomas Galante (also at the $175 level) lives in Wilton, Connecticut.

Individuals by the names of Domenick Totino and Alexandra Rosa ($100 and $75 respectively) maybe trying to keep their jobs?

Oh, there's so-o-o much more there.

What's an empowered working family? Sounds like more welfare to me.

...$2050 from Henry Elghanayan, CEO of Rockrose Development Corp, $2050 from David Koptiev of Platinum Realty Associates, $3850 from Edward Minskoff of the development agency Edward J. Minskoff Equities...

George and I could go on, but those who know do not need to be told, and those who do not seldom listen.

we're screwed, she fucked us over with her vote for bloomberg, and now she's just packing the house with more thieves.

Galante is the President of the Queens Public Library. (The position used to be known as Director, but he keeps upgrading it.)

Hey Melinda. You're not yet in office and we've already got the binoculars trained on you.

Curtis probably thought that because he ....ummmmm.....donated something else to Katz, he only had to give $175.00!

That's Sliwa's house in Brooklyn? Maybe his old man Chester's house. I thought Coitus lived in Manhattan. He falsified his domecile on the contribution listing?
