DEP, where are you?

This wonderful site is located at Onderdonk Ave and Suydam Street. It appears that metal thieves stole the original curb protector and it was replaced with concrete, which has been destroyed by something. This is just a mess.

Did you put in a 311 request to have dep come out and replace the missing curb piece?

I use the 311 online form for missing curb piece when I see something like this. I know how notoriously bad 311 is but in cases like this they respond usually within a week and fix the problem. Someone has to make a complaint first though.

It amazes me how low people can get by stealing storm drain parts.

something tells me that scrap yards don't get suspicious much someone shows up with sewer grates and caps to their yard, if that's where I think is where these skells take the shit they steal.

I had the same problem in front of my house and after several calls and months of waiting they came to fix it up. Once finished and before closing the drain for good, the guys from the DEP threw all the debris into the drain and sealed it off, I'm talking of big chunks of concrete. Bunch of losers and lazy ass holes. Same as my former downstairs neighbor who used to throw up to seven empty plastic water bottles in that drain when he parked his car next to it, he wouldn't take them in his apartment and threw them in the recycling. Thank God he moved out but he's polluting somewhere else in this city.

This time I wouldn't blame DEP. Start blaming the a$$e$ that do this in their communities!
